about
who am i?
My name is Elizabeth Picado and I’m a game artist & writer. I’m currently working as the Jr. Technology Lead at Superblue Miami, an experiential art center full of immersive and interactive experiences. In my role, I help support daily operations as part of the tech team by managing and troubleshooting the wide variety of equipment we utilize in the space. Outside of my work at Superblue, I was also part of a team of independent contractors on a game development project. The project served as a collaboration between Case Western Reserve University and David’s Challenge in Cleveland, Ohio. We were creating a 3D sci-fi math game to help 6th-12th grade students study math in a fun way! I was the main 3D artist on the project, contributing some 3D environments, animations, and illustrated comics.
I studied game design & creative writing at the Cleveland Institute of Art, and graduated with a BFA from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. I’m an environment artist at heart, but when it comes to game projects, I’m accustomed to wearing many hats. This includes game and level design, narrative design and script writing, 3D modeling, UI, lighting, post-processing, and shader work. I love challenging myself to create unique and stylized game worlds, and always learning new things.
